Balance: Pet Photography 52 Week Project, Week 38
It is Thursday Sept 22 and I am writing this post for our week 38 pet photography challenge about balance and specifically balance and tension in an image.
I cannot find the words to write about this topic though because tonight there is unbalance and tension in my city. Charlotte NC is my home and the national guard arrived here today to protect against a 3rd night of rioting.
Rioting that is taking place when we don't know all of the facts about what happened. We the general public might not ever know all the facts but more violence isn't the answer. One of my facebook friends posted this quote today "If you want peace, you don't talk to your friends. You talk to your enemies.''Desmond Tutu.
I wish I could find the words to express what I am feeling. We need to change in this country. Of that I am certain but that road to change shouldn't include more violence.
I have been in a state of disbelief today. My heart is broken. I pray for everyone involved and I pray for peace.
This is a blog circle about pet photography and next up is Elaine Tweedy, I Got The Shot Photography, Northeastern PA Pet Photographer. Keep clicking the links at the bottom of each post to read the other photographer's take on balance and tension in their images and my apologies for taking a detour this week.
God Bless my hometown Charlotte NC.
