Dog Photo Bloopers
Every photo shoot I have results in bloopers. Some dogs have more than others and some are really funny.
I love it when I’m looking through the photos for the first time and I end up laughing. When that happens, it’s usually because of the outtakes. I do show the bloopers to the pet parents because I love some of them. I’ve found that the pet parents like them too!
Moose always has tons of bloopers probably because he is frequently my go-to model. He knows the drill and he gets bored.
Earlier this year, I needed sample photos for a Valentine’s event I was photographing at 1501 S. Mint. I wanted to market the event in advance so I set up the studio in my garage and used Moose as the model.
Here’s the thing about Moose: he’s an old guy. He’s 13 so he prefers to lay down. When I’m photographing him and I don’t have an assistant (which is probably 90% of the time), if I put a dog bed down he will lay on it. Then I can be assured he’ll stay in that spot.
I have to work quickly though because he’ll lay his head down and that’s usually not the photo I want. I can use treats but he is SUPER food motivated and that will work to get him to lift up his head.
Here’s a reel of bloopers from just one session. These aren’t edited in photoshop so there are eye boogies, stray fur and string from the rug I used that I’d normally edit out.

Moose is a good sport and I love him for it.
