Holiday Wishes: Pet Photography 52 Week Project Week 52

I am so grateful for the photographers who have been involved in the Pet Photography 52 Week Project and for anyone who reads my blog. I am sending Holiday Wishes to all of you.

All of you have helped me so much, I just wanted to say thank you. Thank your for reading my blog. Thank you for commenting. Thank you for sharing your images so that I can learn from you (because I do.) I hope all of your holiday wishes come true and I wish you peace, love and joy in 2017.

2017 will be my first full year in the photography business. For a newbie like me, what piece of advice do you have for me? What was one of the best decisions you made regarding your photography business? What was something you did you wish you wouldn't have done or had done differently? If you're setting goals for 2017, are there some you'd be willing to share?

Here is one of my stretch goals:

I love to travel so I want to incorporate traveling and dog photography. My goal: Hold BARKography sessions in all 50 states. In my first 6 months in business, I've crossed NC and Oregon off the list. So far in 2017 I am scheduled to be in Colorado and California. I've had requests to come to Tennessee, Texas and Utah. I hope by this time next year, I have crossed 4-5 states off the list. (If I cross off 4 states / year, it'll take me 12 years to accomplish this goal! YIKES). It's a stretch goal, right? :)

One of my favorite images from my first destination, Cannon Beach Oregon. In 2017, I'll get to photograph dogs on the beach in southern California and with the mountains in the background in Colorado. I can't wait!

When 2017 winds down, I hope I can look back and write about my 2016 Holiday Wishes and how they came true. I wish the same for all of you.

This is a blog circle and next up is Pet Love Photography, serving Greater Cincinnati and the San Francisco Bay Area. Click the link at the bottom of each post to see what each photographer has to say about our theme Holiday in our last post for the Pet Photography 52 Week Project of 2016.

Thank you for reading and have a safe and Happy New Year. I'm excited to see where our photography journeys take us in 2017.

PS Since we haven't stayed up til midnight for forever, we always celebrate New Years on London time. It works well for us. :)
