National Dog Day 2020
Today, August 26th is National Dog Day.
If you love dogs like I do and if you’re reading this I’m guessing you do, you probably agree with me that every day is national dog day. I know my Moose would agree.
National Dog Day was founded in 2004 by Colleen Paige, a Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert and Animal Rescue Advocate. Her site is dedicated to celebrating all dogs: purebred, mixed breeds, and rescues.
National Dog Day is all about recognizing how great dogs are.
The day strives to bring public awareness to all of the dogs in shelters that need rescuing.
National Dog Day recognizes all of the service dogs that dedicate their lives to making others’ lives better.
It recognizes all the working dogs. K9s, farm dogs and other dogs who are bred and live each day performing his job.
The day recognizes all of the dogs each of us loves: our pets. My Moose and my Molly.
Here’s an interesting fact about the day. Why is National Dog Day celebrated on August 26th? It's the day Colleen's family adopted their first shelter dog.
My life is richer because of all of the dogs I’ve known. I love them all.
