Black and white is the theme of the pet photography 52 week project in week 22 and it's nice to be back in the blog circle this week. I've been traveling the last two weeks and I didn't have the time to write a blog. I absolutely hate that I missed last week's cityscape theme. I don't take cityscape photos in Charlotte but since I was recently in Vancouver and San Francisco, I have some of them and would've loved to post them. I know I still can but this blog circle gives me a reason to do it and even though I'd like to post them, it seems as though other tasks get in the way and I usually don't get around to it. Can anyone else relate to that?

It's on Saturday May 12 from 9am - 12pm at MoRA's (Monroe Road Advocates) Embrace Sculpture. Cynthia Pinkston of Charlotte Life and Home is organizing the event and she and three of her colleagues came up with the idea last year. They wanted to offer a free event to the local Charlotte community as a way of giving back. Anyone can bring their dog to the event and they'll receive a professional photo of their pup! We had a great time last year and I'm really excited for the event this year.

I have a macro lens, the Nikkor 105mm and it allows me to get close to my subject however some dogs don't like the lens that close to them so I tend to back away and give them enough space so they're comfortable. So why then am I struggling to figure out what photos to post here? I am actually asking myself, do I have to post photos this week? Keep reading and you'll understand why I'm asking myself this.
