Cute Dog Photos
An adorable golden retriever in a boat on a pond makes for a cute dog photo, right?
Imagine your dog in this exact same spot. If your dog has what it takes, we can make this happen.
I’m offering these photoshoots now.
The location is south of Charlotte. Technically it’s Lancaster SC but the location is in between Waxhaw and Indian Land. I live near Southpark Mall and it’s a 30 minute drive for me and every mile is worth it.
This location is gorgeous. Here are other photos I took at the same location.
The timing of the session is really important. Full sessions will start an hour before sunset and will go 10-15 minutes past sunset. Going into the summer, that means the sessions will be late.
Pet Parents will help guide their dog during the session. The biggest way they can help is to be patient.
Creating this type of image takes time. It’s not as easy as having the dog get in the boat. The dog needs to be comfortable and confident. If he’s scared or thinks he’s not doing what we want, he won’t look happy and he’ll just try to jump out of the boat.
If you would like photos like this of your dog, we will need to have a conversation first. I want to access your dog’s personality to see if he’s a good candidate for this. Your dog doesn’t need to be perfectly trained but there are a few key factors that will ensure he’ll do just fine.
Dogs that will work best:
Happy, confident dogs
Dogs that are comfortable in new settings
Dogs that will sit and stay
Dogs that can be off leash without an e-collar on
Dogs that have patient owners
Dogs that listen to their owners
Dogs that won’t work well:
Fearful dogs or dogs that aren’t confident
Dogs with no training. Dogs must be able to sit and stay.
Dogs that cling to their owners. Once the dog is in the boat, you’ll step back about 5 feet.
Really small dogs - they need to be big enough so we can see them once they’re in the boat.
Dogs that LOVE the water. The dog needs to stay in the boat and not jump in the water.
Duck hunters… there are ducks that live on the property. We need to make certain Daffy the Duck doesn’t get hurt while we are there.
