Pups & Pints

Gravity Magazine's most recent edition is all about Pups & Pints. If you're not familiar with the magazine, it is a quarterly publication about the Charlotte craft beverage scene.  Gravity contacted me over the summer and asked if I'd be interested in advertising in their upcoming edition since it was about Pups & Pints. In the course of our conversations, I asked if they needed any dog photography and luckily for me, they answered yes.

I posted a model call on my Instagram page and I reached out to a couple of dog walking clients. I had 2 days to line up the photo shoots and edit the shots. Within an hour, I had 3 photo shoots lined up for the next day.

Prior to being contacted by Gravity, I'd not been to many of the local breweries. I don't know why.... I actually really like beer and I love to support all things local. Imagine my surprise when I walked into The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery and saw a mural painted on the wall. (Insert the choir and angels singing here) I knew I had to get some shots with that in the background. I love this one of Griffin.

This first picture below is Griffin's sister Boston. The golden retriever puppy is Cash. I took these photos in late July and I can't believe how much he's grown in 6 weeks. The last dog is Steve the cover dog model.

I had a blast doing these photo sessions at the breweries. Perhaps BARKography at the local breweries needs to be a regular occurrence.  Anyone interested?
