The theme for this week is architectural. Most of my photo sessions don't really include any architectural elements. Most of my sessions are at parks. Most don't have a lot of architectural elements or if they do, it's a bridge. If I'm going to write a blog about this topic and take photos this week using architectural elements, that was going to require some planning.

I was out of town and my husband came home to find him disoriented and bleeding from his nose. He rushed him to the emergency vet and they couldn't confirm but suspected cancer.

When you're photographing an already tall dog with pointy ears like a german shepherd, you really need to get up high!

Water as our topic makes me happy because I just spent 15 days on the California coast and I have LOADS of photos with the Pacific Ocean in the background. If I hadn't spent 15 days in CA, this theme would've been a little more challenging to me. My apologies to those of you who don't have an ample supply of water to use as your backdrop regularly. I don't either and I am completely jealous of anyone who does.

I am at a dog photography retreat in southern California so we've been photographing a lot of dogs. Unfortunately, most of the photos I have with sun flare don't have dogs in them. The photo above was taken at Lookout Point in Corona del Mar. The sun rises over the cliffs (camera left) and sets over the Pacific.
